Route: Karakol- Altyn Arashsan valley-Ala Kol pass (3 800 m)/lake (3 500 m)-Kurgak tor gorge-Terme Tor pass (3 700 m)-Kara Zo (Prjevalskogo) peak (4 273 m)-Karakol valley-Karakol
Brief description: Peak Kara Zo (4 273 m) serves, for many climbers as an acclimatization peak or as a first summit in big mountains for new climbers.
It is located near the town of Karakol and this tour includes the famous alpine lake of Ala Kol.
When the sky is clear, this tour providea an amazing view of the entire eastern part of the Issyk Kul and the whole Teskey Ala-Too.
Day to day plan:
Day 1- Karakol - Altyn Arashan valley
The first half of the day is spent driving through the Arashan valley in a 4x4 soviet military car. The second half of the day is spent walking 500m up and setting the camp in a tree line (3,000 m) nearby the crystal clean waters of Keldike gorge. Briefing behind the bonfire. Working day 2-3 hours
Day 2- AlaKol Lake (3,500 m)
Smooth hike up in Keldike gorge. Reaching the pass after 3-4 hours, offering an impressive view of the lake surrounded by high peaks. Camp on the North-West coast of the lake (3,550 m). Working day 5-6 hours
Day 3-Transition into a parallel gorge
Easy descent to the junction of Terme Tor gorge.Then, ascending to the starting point of the climbing. Camp at the moraine (3,400 m)
Day 4-Climbing day. Kara Zo 4,273 m
Day 5-Gentle descent to Karakol valleyand transfer to Karakol
Conditions of the program:
Equipment: Special gear: tent, good trekking boots, crampons, ice-axe, carabiner, harness, 2-3 ice screws, 3-4 hardware, friends, jumar, 1-2 ropes (5 m long), helmet.
Personal gear: Participants must have their own equipment such as backpacks, personal sleeping bag down to -15 С, warm clothes, down jacket, jacket-windbreaker and pants-windbreaker, gloves, sunglasses, googles, headlamp etc. (The whole structure of personal equipment)
Physical requirements: Participants must be in good physical condition, feel comfortable with transitions over long distances, rapid changes in the weather and with spending the night on the glaciers. Differences of heights range from 300 to 1,200 m in a vertical elevation. the maximum elevation 4,273 m

Round trip transport between Bishkek-Karakol-Bishkek:
By yourselves? You can easily catch a taxi or minibus by yourself in the western bus station in Bishkek. The ride takes approximately six hours (400km). In Karakol you can settle in any reputed hotel or guest house. Our guide will meet you in Karakol and provide a briefing.
Our guests? For our guests we organize a comfortable and private transport from and to Bishkek/Manas International Airport, including a visit to the Burana Tower in Tokmok, a stop for the petroglyphs in Cholpon Ata and an excursion in Karakol,in the presence of our english speaking guide. Lodging in a local partners house with a clean shower/toilet, amazing breakfast and a Kyrgyz history from the lips of our grandfathers, at the start and the end of the trekking, 2 nights in total.
