Brief description: Want to take a dip in the hot springs? You want to visit the famous beautiful turquoise aquamarine lake, drink crystal clean spring waters from the waterfall and see the beginning of all waters then this trek is exactly what you need to pass. You will have the opportunity to discover the natural areas of Terskey Ala-Too, to get an epic view of the highest points in the Teskey Ala-Too range, such as the Karakol peak (5 216 m), the Jigit peak (5 117 m) and many other impressive peaks and glaciers. Finally you will be able to take a dip in the hot springs wild one in Takyr-Tor, hot springs of Altyn Arashan and Ak-Suu.

Day to day plan:

Day 1 - By car drive to Jety-Oguz hot springs sanatorium, as this day is just start of the trekking we can't let you go in the hot spring. We know that it is so relaxing and after you will not be able to walk for the rest of the day so just have a look then drive to Kok-Jayik valley (Jety-Oguz gorge) which takes about 40min to 1 hr drive. You will stop for Jety-Oguz red rocks for photo on the way. Then walk up to Teleti valley for camping. Walking time about 4-5hrs. Easy day.

Day 2 - Pass the Teleti pass 3800m after go down all the way to Karakol National Park glacier at the end of the gorge. Camp close to the glacier.

Day 3 - First half of day is walking downto Karakol gorge after smoothly walking for a 600 m up and camping in a tree line (3000m) nearby crystal clean water of Kurgak Tor.

Day 4 - The trail to Ala-Kol lake leads up and up, along the river (coming from the Ala-Kol lake). With a nice view for the waterfall, the amazing Ala-Kol lake, the glacier. Camp at 3 500m near the lake.

Day 5 - Cross the glacier, pass the 3900-4000m high pass, this pass has the category 1B level. After down to wild hot springs. If the weather is good overnight near the hot spring if not go down to valley. Can be long walking day if the weather is bad. If the weather for this day is really bad with thunder storm better to change the route to Ala-Kol pass 3800m.

Day 6 - Down to Altyn-Arashan hot springs through the nice forest with amazing view to Palatka peak. Overnight in room or Yurt. Rest in hot springs.

Day 7 - From Altyn-Arashan walk to Anyrty valley. Beatiful vally with small lakes. Another pass 3700m high.

Day 8 - Walk down to Ak-Suu gorge. End of the trek in Ak-Suu hot springs sanatorium. On wish possible to take hot spring shower then by car get to Karakol town. Conditions of the program: Equipment: Participants must have their equipment such as backpacks, desirable to have a personal sleeping bag, warm clothes, good trekking shoes, trekking poles, etc. (The whole structure of personal equipment).

Physical requirements: Participants must be in good physical condition, but don't need any special skills of mountaineering. The differences of heights range from 600 m to 850 m in vertical elevation. The maximum elevation is 4000 m.

Round trip transport between Bishkek-Karakol-Bishkek:

By yourselves? You can easily catch a taxi or minibus by yourself in the western bus station in Bishkek. The ride takes approximately six hours (400km). In Karakol, you can settle in any reputed hotel or guest house. Our guide will meet you in Karakol and provide a briefing.

Our guests? For our guests, we organize a private comfortable transport from and to Bishkek/Manas International Airport, including a visit to the Burana Tower in Tokmok, a stop to the petroglyphs in Cholpon Ata and an excursion in Karakol, in the presence of our english speaking guide. Lodging in a local partners house with a clean shower/toilet, amazing breakfast and Kyrgyz history from the lips of our grandfathers, at the start and the end of the trekking (2 nights). For just an extra $ 100 per person.
