Brief description:      

Want to visit the famous beautiful turquoise aquamarine lake of Karakol? You will have the opportunity to discover the natural areas of Terskey Ala-Too, to get an epic view of the highest points in the Teskey Ala Too range, such as the Karakol peak (5 216m.), the Jigit peak (5 117m.) and many other impressive peaks and glaciers. You will be able to take a dip in the hot springs of Altyn Arashan and finally contemplate the amazing alpine Ala-Kul lake, located at an altitude of 3 530m. There are not enough words to describe the beauty of the lake and its surrounding landscape, you just need to see it!


Day to day plan:

Day 1- Karakol - Karakol valley - Kurgak-Tor gorge - Ala-Kol lake.

First half of day is spending by driving through into the Karakol gorge by 4x4 soviet military car and smoothly walking for a 600m. up for a good break at "Sirota Camp site" nearby crystal clean water of Kurgak-Tor. Then trail to Ala-Kol lake which leads up and up, along the river (coming from the Ala-Kol lake). With a nice view for the waterfall, the amazing Ala-Kol lake. Camp near the lake Ala-Kol at 3500m. Walking time 5-6hrs.

Day 2- Lake Ala-Kol - Ala-Kol  pass (3 800m.) - Keldike gorge - Altyn-Arashan hot springs

After a nice breakfast start walking to the pass at 3800m where you find your self in panorama with amazing view to the high peaks of Tesrkey Ala-Too the Karakol peak (5281m), Djigit peak (5170m), Oguz-Bashi peak (5168m.), Tashtambek peak (4800m.) and Ala-Kol Bashi peak (4200m), you will see the lake and the glacier, the begining of water. After admiring, the trail continue via gentle descent down from the pass and walking through the shpeherds trail in Keldike valley. The valley frequently visited by shepherds, who usually feed their cattle during the summer. The trail goes all the way down till Altyn-Arashan hot springs by crossing some small rivers and again with amazing view to Palatka peak (4770m). Overnight in Kyrgyz Yurts and spending time in hot springs pool. Working day 6-7 hours.

Day 3- Altyn-Arashan hot springs - Ak-Suu - Karakol.

After some dip in the hot springs and walk around take a drive to Karakol town. Working time 3-4 hours.

Participants must have their equipment such as backpacks, desirable to have a personal sleeping bag, warm clothes, good trekking shoes, trekking poles, etc. (The whole structure of personal equipment).


Physical requirements: 

Participants must be in good physical condition, but don't need any special skills of mountaineering. The differences of heights range from 600 m to 850 m in vertical elevation. The maximum elevation is 3 850 m.

3.To The Heart Of The Celestial Mountains, Enylchek

Route:              Karakol - Turgon AkSuu gorge - Chon Ashuu pass (4,000m) – Echkili-Tash - Tuz gorge  - Tyz pass (4,000m) - South Enylchek gorge - South Enylchek glacier - Merzbacher base - KhanTengri base camp (4,100m)- Karkyra base - Karakol.


Brief description:     Central Tien Shan, located on the border of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and China, is one of the most popular moutaineering center of the world.
The route belongs to one of the most famous trekking path in Kyrgyzstan
Trekkers can feel the power of the glacier in the south Enylchek valley, which is the second largest glacier in the world outside of the polar ice caps, with a length of more than 60 km. 

The appointment is the base camp at the foot of the great mountains. There is a beautiful view of the highest points of the Tien Shan mountains - Victory (Tomur 7 439 m) and Khan Tengri (6 995 m). Kan Too, the seond highest peak in this range, is the treasure of the Tien Shan It is said only a few other mountains can compete with the beauty of Khan Tengri. When the sun sets, all the surrounding mountains are left in darkness while Khan Tengri is covered by the last ray of light of the day, taking a blood-red color. This magnificent view explains why this mountain range has been renamed the "Celestial Mountains".

We invite you to join us in this adventure through the unforgettable experience on this famous glacier.

After all this dreamlike landscape in this land of legends, the group will experience an exceptional aerial view of the impressive summits and glaciers aboard of a soviet military helicopter on their way back to Karkyra base camp, where our transport will be waiting for the group.

Day 6 - Southern Enelchek glacier. Hiking up along the glacier Southern Enelchek, by the glacier Komsomol. Camp (3,600m)

Day 7 - Southern Enelchek glacier. Hiking up along the glacier Southern Enelchek, by the glacier Proletarskiy tourist. Camp (3,900m)

Day 8 - Zvezdochka glacier. Hiking up along the glacier Southern Enelchek till the junction with the glacier Zvezdochka. The basic camp is here. Camp(4,100m)

Day 9 - Radial treks/lazy day

Day 10 - Flight by helicopter. Flight by helicopter from the base camp South Enelchek to the base camp in Karkara. Transfer Karkara-Karakol (120 km, 2-3 hours).

4.Trekking To Ala-Kol Glacier

Duration:         5 days

Route:             Karakol valley – Kurgak-Tor gorge – Ala-Kol lake (3500m) – Ala-Kol glacier (3600-3800m) – Takyr-Tor pass (4000m) – Altyn-Arashan hot springs resort – Karakol town.


Brief description:    This is one of our favourite routes in the Teskey Ala-Too range. In this route we begin from beautiful forest zone in Karakol National Park then time by time get higher and higher. We will drink the glacial crystal clear water coming from the Ala-Kol glacier where we can see the beginning of the water. Amazing view from the Takyr-Tor pass to high mountains around. We will see two waterfalls and will be able to take a dip in the wild hot spring water. Also the hot springs of Altyn-Arashan always welcomes us for its hot pools. Again there are not enough words to describe the beauty of the lake and its surrounding landscape, you just need to see it!


Day to day plan:

Day 1- Karakol - Karakol valley - Kurgak Tor gorge - "Sirota" camp site.

First half of day is spending by driving through into the Karakol gorge by 4x4 soviet military car. Second half of the day is smoothly walking for a 600 m up and camping in a tree line (3000m) nearby crystal clean water of Kurgak Tor. Working day 4-5 hours.

Day 2- Sirota - lake Ala-Kol.

The trail to Ala-Kol leads up and up, along the river (coming from the Ala-Kol lake). With a nice view for the waterfall, the amazing Ala-Kol lake, the glacier. Camp close to the glacier. Very nice view of the sunset. Walking 5-6 hours.

Day 3- Glacier Ala-Kol – Takyr-Tor pass (4000m)  – Takyr-Tor valley.

This day need to start the walk early to cross the glacier, after pass the beautiful pass Takyr-Tor then slowly go down through the moraines to the valley. On the way in a good weather take a wild hot spring. Camp in a tree line. Walking 5-6hrs.

Day 4- Takyr-Tor valley – Altyn-Arashan hot springs resort.

Another walking day, easy walk down to Altyn-Arashan by the valley where you can meet shepherds, who are feeding their cattle during the summer. The trail goes all the way down till Altyn Arashan hot springs by crossing some small rivers. Stay in Yurt, take a hot spring bath. Walking 4-5hrs.

Day 5- Altyn-Arashan – Karakol town. The rest day after trek. Walk around the hot springs. Second part of the day driving by same car to the Karakol town (2-3 hours).

5.To Merzbacher Lake In Kyrgyzstan

Brief description: After this eight days of trekking in the highest mountain range in the world with most impressive view from the 4000m pass and unique Merzbacher lake you will have one of the best memories in your trekking experience. The trek goes along one of the longest glaciers in the world. 

The lake Merzbacher is known for its mysterious fill and explode cycles. Every year between mid July to August the lake bursts and explodes into Enylchek River below the glacier and starts a new cycle of filling. The lake is named after the German geographer Gottfried Merzbacher led an expedition which discovered it in 1903. It is an object of research scientists, close by there are observation stations.


Plan on days:

Day 1 - Karakol – Echkili-Tash (150 km) 5 hours driving by 4x4 car. You arrive to the border post Echkili-Tash. You have border checking. Crossing along the Tuz river. About 5km walking. Camp (3,200 m). Working day 2-3 hours
